Pendant deux ans, le réalisateur Iwan Schumacher a suivi le travail de Markus Raetz pour nous initier au processus créatif de cet artiste hors normes, et rendre hommage à ses 40 ans de création.
En leur offrant une vue différente, les œuvres de Raetz remettent en question les habitudes visuelles des amateurs d’art.

Biography
Born in 1947 in Lucerne, Switzerland. Studied photography at Kunstgewerbeschule Zürich. 1970-72 Teacher of photography at the Bath Academy of Art, England. Since 1972 works as cinematographer, screenwriter, producer and director. 1977-81 Member of Nemo Film AG. 2000 Cofounder of Schumacher & Frey GmbH. Since 2004 mainly produces and directs portraits of Swiss artists. Lives in Zurich.
